Come celebrate nature’s bounty & all-ages fun at Lynden’s Harvest Festival! Kick off the festivities early Saturday morning at an all-you-can-eat harvest pancake breakfast at the Lynden Community Center (8:00-11:00am) and a special mask-making activity for kids at the Lynden Library (10:30am).
Fairway Center will also host a number of events for the whole family to enjoy from 10:00am-4:00pm, including the Cascade Commodities Giant Hay Maze, children’s hay hunt for free candy & prizes (courtesy of Bogaard Hay), scarecrow decorating with the 4-H Head Butters Club, Jumping Joeys inflatables & games, K.I.D. & S. Railroad train rides, kids’ knit cap sales by Just One More Row Knitters, & more! Don’t forget to check out the unique scarecrow displays & "Chalk the Walk" sidewalk art designs by local 3rd grade students citywide!
In addition to the above events on Saturday, Stoney Ridge Farm (2092 Van Dyk Road) & Bellewood Acres (231 Ten Mile Road) will also be featuring family-friendly harvest activities all weekend and throughout the month of October! On Friday night (October 16) the Lynden Pioneer Museum will feature apple pressing, music, desserts, & a variety of historic demonstrations at their annual open house (6:00-9:00pm).
Festivalgoers can also visit the nearby Fall Craft & Antique Show taking place October 15-17 at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds, featuring over 100 arts and crafts exhibitors from throughout the region. Guests are also encouraged to help support local food banks by dropping off donations at any county Industrial Credit Union branch all week during the Community Food Drive (October 12-16).
